Quick answers

Can you see my photos?

No. Photos and videos are encrypted on your iPhone before they go anywhere, and we don't have the keys. If you turn on backup, your recovery key stays with you.

Do I need an account or an email address?

No. Locket doesn't ask for a name, email address, phone number or password. Backup uses a 26-character recovery key instead.

I forgot my PIN. What now?

If Face ID is on, use it to open your vault, then set a new PIN. If you have an Encrypted Backup and its recovery key, restore it on your iPhone and tap Forgot your PIN? to set a new one. Without Face ID or a backup, we can't recover your PIN or your photos. We don't have the keys.

What is free, and what is Locket Pro?

Free: as many photos and videos as you like on your iPhone, Face ID and PIN, and viewing, exporting and deleting everything you saved, including Export to Photos and Download everything. You can also link with one person and share up to 25 photos. Locket Pro adds Encrypted Backup, Break-in Report, Decoy Password, Disguised Icon and unlimited sharing. There are no ads.

I forgot a locked album's PIN.

On the album's PIN pad, tap Forgot PIN?. Locket asks for Face ID, and then you can choose a new PIN. This only works on an iPhone where you set or entered that album's PIN, and only while the iPhone's Face ID setup is unchanged. Otherwise Locket says only Face ID on this iPhone can reset the PIN. Nothing else resets it, and we can't reset it for you.

Can I hide an album's cover?

A locked album's cover stays hidden until you open it. Before that you see a frosted block with the album's name. An open album uses its newest photo as the cover. If an album from an earlier version still has a hidden cover, open the album, tap the more menu and choose Unblur cover.

Why don't my locked album's photos show in All items?

That's the point of a lock. Photos in a locked album never show in All items, even while the album is open. A photo returns to All items when you remove it from the locked album, or when you unlock the album, unless another locked album still holds it. To do either, open the album and choose Remove on the photos, or Unlock album from the more menu. Locked albums are part of Locket Pro.

How does Encrypted Backup work?

Backup is optional and needs Locket Pro to start. Locket makes a 26-character recovery key on your iPhone and seals your backup with it before anything uploads. Keep the key somewhere safe: we can't recover a lost key. If your Pro plan ends, new uploads pause, your existing backup stays, and you can still restore and download from it.

I lost my recovery key.

We can't recover it, and without it nobody can open the backup, including us. If your vault still opens on your iPhone, go to Settings and choose Turn off backup, then turn backup on again for a new key. Turning backup off deletes the old backup from our storage. Your photos on your iPhone stay.

How do I share with someone, and how do I stop?

Sharing is optional. Tap Share with someone, then invite a person or enter a code they sent you. You choose each photo you share. A link code is valid for 24 hours. Either of you can unlink at any time, and that revokes access to what was shared.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Apple manages subscriptions. On your iPhone, open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, then Locket. Deleting your Locket account does not cancel a subscription. You can restore past purchases from the Locket Pro screen.

How do I delete my account?

Open Locket, go to Settings and tap Delete Account. This erases the vault on your iPhone and deletes your sign-in, your user record and your encrypted backup. It can't be undone. If you share with someone, unlink first if you can.

Is this the Locket widget app?

No. Locket: Photo Vault is a private photo vault for iPhone. The Locket photo widget is a different app.
